Dimitra Digka was born in Thessaloniki. She graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is currently a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS), UK.

After her graduation, she worked in a small animal veterinary clinic in Peraia, Thessaloniki. She then moved to the United Kingdom, where she worked in Birmingham in both a first-opinion clinic and a 24-hour companion animal hospital. She later completed a rotating internship at the multidisciplinary second-opinion hospital Dick White Referrals in Cambridgeshire. She has obtained the CPR Advanced Life Rescuer title through the International Recover Training program. She has participated in research and volunteer teams and actively engages in scientific discourse through presentations and attendance at national and international conferences, contributing to the organization of scientific events and practical seminars in Greece and abroad.

She is a member of the ISFM, and her professional focus is feline medicine—a specialized and continuously evolving field. She continually strengthens her theoretical and practical training through postgraduate education and specialized seminars. Since 2025, she has been attending the General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert) in Emergency Medicine and Surgery program offered by Improve Veterinary Education.
